Design with confidence — without feeling overwhelmed.
This live virtual class is designed for beginners who want to understand Canva, create clean designs, and stop guessing every time they open a blank canvas.
THURSDAY, January 29, 2025| 7PM CST
Canva Basics
This class is designed to help beginners stop guessing in Canva and start designing with clarity and confidence. Students will understand how Canva works, why designs look off, and how to create clean, usable designs for shirts, tumblers, and digital products—without overwhelm.
This is not a deep design mastery class. It’s the essential foundation that makes future Canva, sublimation, and shirt-making classes easier and more effective.

Canva is supposed to be easy...
But it doesn't feel that way at first
Everyone says "it's drag and drop" but for me:
“I open Canva and don’t know where to start”
“My designs never look like the examples”
I don’t know what size to use”
“I use fonts but they don’t look right together”
“I download my design and it doesn’t work”
“I want to design faster, not start from scratch every time”
In this class, you will get answers and clarity
We walk through Canva’s layout, templates, and design types so students know exactly where to click and why.
We introduce basic layout principles (spacing, alignment, hierarchy) in simple, non-technical language.
We explain when size matters, when it doesn’t, and how to choose the right starting point without overthinking.
We cover font pairing basics and how to spot fonts that don’t belong together.
We break down file types (PNG, JPG, PDF) and when to use each—especially for makers.
Learn how to reuse designs, duplicate layouts, and build a simple design flow.
By the end of the class, you're no longer guessing. You understand what is happening.
